6.09.02
The car has been ok since the recent clutch
trouble. The tranny is starting to go (started
grinding gears months ago) and will need to
be rebuilt soon. Along with being rebuilt,
a Quaife LSD and a lightweight flywheel will
be added. As for the clutch, after seeing
the pics of the clutch, ACT decided to refurbish
the clutch and pressure plate for no cost.
I am very impressed with there level of service
and commitment. The clutch wont be going back
in until the other parts arrive. On another
note, the car will soon be striped down to
the frame and painted white (yea another change
in the color lol). while were in there, all
the little things that need to be replaced
due to wear and tear (the previous owner was
not very good to the car) will be replaced.
At that time, the 99-00 front end will be
installed along with the upgraded brakes and
some other items. Lots of stuff coming soon
for this car so be on the lookout!
5.11.02
After pulling the tranny and clutch, I found
that the clutch disc is bad. I will have
to put on a stock pressure plate and clutch
until I get this replaced. You can see the
pics of the damage here
5.8.02
The parts are all here for the disc swap.
Last Friday, the clutch had some problems
with have yet to be identified (most probable
cause is the pressure plate) So the tranny
will be pulled this weekend and checked
out. Other than that, not a whole lot of
new info
4.8.02
Installed a new Tanabe Super Racing Medallion,
compared to the stock mid pipe that I have
been running since the swap, its allot faster.
I have nearly everything in order to do
the complete disc swap, just waiting on
some parts. Other than that, not a whole
lot going on over the past month.
